In the year 2001, I was training for my 40th triathlon, when I was severely injured in a car accident while prepping with speed work on a bike ride. In a matter of minutes, I went from the best shape of my life to questioning if I could function without a wheel cheer. I was air lifted to Boston with countless broken bones and structural damage. That day would change my outlook in so many ways. I went from a hard working and driven athlete to being injured, in pain and unable to function independently. Initially I thought if I can walk again without pain, that would solidify the years of effort I put in to training my body. Over time I realized why should I settle? I can be what I once was. I will achieve my goals and return to the state of fitness I had achieved prior to the accident. Luckily, for me, the ARP system was a new product on the market with proven success. Prior to this point, I had worked tirelessly to return to form without much success. Within a short time, I was back to speed as a competitive athlete. However, I am stronger, healthier and most importantly more efficient. My goal is no longer to finish in 1st place, it is to live pain free and improve quality of life! I endorse this product not only because of what it has done for me, but what I have seen it do for others. Flexiblity, mobility, reduced pain/inflammation, strength, and neuromuscular training/retraining are essential to improve quality of life and the ARP addresses each modality. My training approach and education also includes massage therapy (sports injury, hot stone, Tai, cranio sacral) structural integration, Rolfing, functional training, one on one athletic based training, and triathlon specific training.
